    Solving Addition Equations -This balancing equations game is a bit more difficult. Some of the addends are negative numbers! See if you can determine what number would need to fit the equation so that both sides of our equation are equal.
    Thinking Blocks- Addition & Subtraction -A really good strategy that can help you solve word problems is by using bar diagrams. Bar diagrams help you to visualize the information that you know and how that information can help you to solve the problem. This site does an awesome job of modeling addition and subtraction word problems using bar diagrams.

    What Number Do You See? -This activity tests your ability to recognize various numbers represented by ten-frames. By doing so, it ultimately helps students with their ability to work with numbers when trying to make ten! Be sure to try the "Multiple Tens Frames" activity. It's a really good one for the brain!
    Butterfly Ten Frames Game -This activity is an excellent one to help strengthen your ability to recognize pairs of numbers that make ten. See how fast you can determine how many butterflies flew away and how many butterflies are left.
    Mad Math Minute Doubles -Becoming a master of addition requires that you have mastered your doubles! This is a great activity that gives you plenty of practice in working with your doubles.
    Dinosaur Dentist -Once you have mastered your doubles, solving addition problems with near doubles should be easy. This is a fun activity that gives you plenty of practice working with near doubles. Look at the dinosaur's teeth. Think of the double. Remove one tooth, and find the near double!

    Whole Numbers Addition Blocks -In this game, you are given a target number. You will need to click on as many numbered blocks as you need to add up to the sum of that target number. Be careful! You don't want to go over the target number. Otherwise you will lose a point! Here's a good strategy to use: Select combinations of numbers that add up to ten and go from there! You can also use our famous math cheers to help you as well:
    "1, 2, 3, 4 who really knows the score? Ten, Ten, Yeah Ten!!!"
    "2, 4, 6, 8 who do we appreciate? Twenty, Twenty, Yeah Twenty!!!"
    "6, 7, 8, 9 who do we think is mighty fine? Thirty, Thirty, Yeah Thirty!!!"
    Addition Facts Quiz -See how quickly you can answer 20 math problems. For each problem, type in your answer and hit the "ENTER" key to get to the next problem!
    Add to TEN -We know how important it is to be able to be flexible with numbers. The number ten is such a great number to work with. Being able to pair up numbers that match to ten is an important skill. Shoot the numbered ball to a number so that the sum of the numbers on the ball is ten!
    Make 15 -This game is one of my favorites! Compete against the computer in selecting three numbers whose sum is fifteen. Remember, you may have to select numbers so that the computer doesn't get a combination of 3 numbers that add up to fifteen!
    Sums Stacker -Click and drag dice values from stack to stack until the sums of each stack equal the target sums below. For an additional challenge, see if you can get the target sums in the FEWEST moves!
    Circle Addition Equation -When you think about it, an equation is very similar to our balance for comparing mass. If both pans have an equal amount, the balance is balanced. If both sides of our equation have an equal amount, our equation is also balanced or equal. BE SURE TO CLICK ON PRACTICE MODE when first playing this game! Click on the correct circle that would make the equation balanced or equal.

    Fridge Magnet Addition -Here's a good mental math addition activity for you! Using your great skills in mental math addition, see if you can complete the sums of these 2 digit addition problems. Also, be sure to try level B where you are asked to fill in the missing addend for each equation!
    Mental Math Soccer -This is a really good game to work on the 2-digit mental math addition techniques that we worked on in class.
    Speed Math Trainer -Try your hand at "Addition Medium" and see if you can correctly answer ten double-digit mental math addition problems. If you're feeling really confident, why don't you try "Addition Hard" for some three-digit mental math problems.
    Mentally Subtracting 2-Digit Numbers -Click on start to begin! If you scroll down the page some more, you can also try this activity in countdown mode or twenty questions mode as well.
    Glowla's Estimation Contraption -See if you can estimate the sums of three 2-digit addends in the first level of this activity. Remember to round each addend to the nearest ten and then add them up to get your estimation. In level 2, you will be estimating the sums of three 3-digit addends. Again, remember to round them to the nearest hundred and then add them up to get your estimation! In level 3, you will be estimating the sums of four 3-digit addends. In level 4, see if you can correctly estimate the sums of three 4-digit addends!
    Power Lines Phase 1 -See how good your mathematical reasoning skills are for this activity! See if you can correctly place each power cell number in the correct circle so that all of the numbers in the same straight red line add up to the power line total. Complete all 8 levels in this activity and you will receive the password to unlock phase 2!
    Power Lines Phase 2 -Before you can enter level 2, you will need to finish Phase 1 to acquire the password. See if you can correctly place each power cell number in the correct circle so that all of the numbers in the same straight red line add up to the power line total. Complete all 8 levels in this activity and you will receive the password to unlock the ultimate challenge!
    Power Lines Phase 3 -Before you can enter level 3, you will need to finish Phases 1 and 2 to acquire the needed passwords.
